10 years ago I was 29 years old, married and a new Mom. My son was 15 months old, my design business was in its fledgling stages and I had just started teaching gymnastics again after a three year hiatus. My favorite book at the time was Super Baby Food which I used as a guide for making my own baby food for my son. I still highly recommend the book for new Moms.

20 years ago I was 19 years old and in college. I was living at home, going to college full time and coaching gymnastics in my spare time. Looking back, I was so healthy – I exercised every day, drank no soda or coffee, ate very little meat, and got plenty of rest. Back then I spent a lot of time referencing Nancy Clark’s Sports Nutrition Guidebook while training for sprint triathlons and road races.

30 years ago I was 9 years old and in elementary school. That was back in the day when we walked a long way to school and I remember crossing guards, getting stuck in the rain, and had no cell phones. My best friend and I spent every possible moment doing gymnastics, swimming in her pool, giggling about everything. My favorite author was Beverly Cleary and I think I read all of her books including The Ralph Mouse Collection.
