So sorry to hear of your ordeal! I see lots of kids with needle phobias and there are things that you can do to help her lower (desensitize) that fear, also your doctor may recommend a topical analgesic-- emla cream-- to reduce pain.

Sometimes when kids are really afraid they hold their breath, literally bracing themselves, and sometimes that can lead to fainting. Of course your doctor will help you with any medical issues, but you may want to work with your daughter on breathing in those situations so that she doesn't hold her breath.

If you want some more strategies for working on fears, you could check out my book, Freeing Your Child from Anxiety: Powerful, Practical Solutions to Your Child's Fears, Worries and Phobias.

Hope everyone feels better soon!
