When I was at the blogging conference, BlogHer, this summer, one of the companies in the Expo Hall was Ninja – the makers of my favorite blender – the Ninja. Before I had a Ninja, I managed to break literally every blender/food processor I had. My Mom bought me a Ninja years ago and it literally got used for everything.
I was so excited to talk with the team at Ninja – not only to find out more about their newest member of the Ninja family – the Nutri Ninja with Auto-iQ, but also to try out the tasty smoothies they were handing out. Oh yes, they were good!
What I didn’t really expect was that a few weeks ago, a shiny new Nutri Ninja with Auto-iQ would show up on my doorstep to review! Very exciting!
I immediately made butternut squash soup using the Nutri Ninja (sorry, no photos) and this morning I was flipping through the “inspiration guide” that came with the Nutri Ninja and saw a recipe for a Mighty Mocha Protein Shake. Well, I really was not in the mood for mocha, but I decided to take it as inspiration and make a shake based on my favorite fall drink at Starbucks – Cinnamon Dolce Latte.
What you will need:
- Nutri Ninja 24-ounce stainless steel cup
- 1/2 cup strongly brewed coffee – chilled
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 small frozen ripe banana
- 1 cup ice
- 1 tsp of cinnamon
- 1 TBSP maple syrup
- dash of nutmeg
Normally when you are building your smoothie, you follow the guidelines that came with the Nutri Ninja:
However, with this shake, you just put all the ingredients into the stainless steel cup, lock it into place on the Nutri Ninja base and press Auto-iQ blend.
The Nutri Ninja is smart and knows how long your shake needs to blend! Not only can it blend, but Auto-iQ can chop, extract and there is even a Smooth Boost setting if you want an extra smooth smoothie.
This may become my morning go-to shake! I feel like I am having a treat yet it is packed with nutrients, protein and of course, my morning coffee!
I look forward to using the Nutri Ninja with Auto-iQ for everything from smoothies, soups, sauces and more! Thank you Nutri Ninja for the review opportunity!
