Making Healthy Choices Pays Off
In November I decided that I no longer needed to be drinking soda anymore, especially Diet Coke. I was concerned about the amount of artificial sweeteners I was putting in my body and the full sugar versions were certainly going to be worse. Well, it is 5 months later and I can’t even begin to tell you how much better I feel. I have had no soda and my body is loving it.
Other healthier choices I have begun to make include eating a high protein breakfast each morning instead of a high carb breakfast. Not only do I find that I have a clearer head throughout the morning, but I have more energy and do not find myself hopping up for a snack as often.
The results of these two baby steps to better health are starting to pay off. I have lost about 6 pounds, but my skin looks healthier, I have more energy and I generally feel better.
I have a long way to go (about 40 more pounds) but I have found that making a healthier choices is easier if I incorporate a new one every few weeks rather than trying to do it all at once.
