Menu Plan Monday – January 7

Menu Plan Monday

Happy New Year! If you are one of the many families who are trying to make healthier choices for the coming year, menu planning is something you need to be doing. It is much easier to watch your waistline when you have a plan. You are less tempted to drive through a fast food restaurant when you have a plan for something much tastier at home. You are less likely to impulse buy at the grocery store when you have a plan – and you will save money, waste less food and have a saner household as extra bonuses.

My menu for the week:

  • Monday - Meatball hoagies with mozzerella, veggies and dip, oranges
  • Tuesday – Chicken and broccoli with pasta alfredo
  • WednesdaySlow cooker chicken fajitas, tortillas, cheese, rice
  • Thursday – Vegetable soup, ham and cheese roll ups
  • Friday - Make your own pizza night

And as a bonus this week, I thought I’d share that the site EatBetterAmerica.com (General Mills) is giving out free samples of the original Fiber One cereal. Fiber One provides 57% of the average adults daily fiber requirement, has 0 grams of sugar and 60 calories per serving. It is important to note that to receive a sample you must sign up for the Eat
Better America newsletter. The newsletter is an e-mail that is sent out once per month. It provides recipes and tips for people to start living healthier lives. Get your free sample of Fiber One.
