Wrap It Up with Expressionery

One of my good friends is headed off this week to a new home in a new state to start her new career as a teacher. I thought it would be fun to put together a little bag of goodies to take to her new classroom. Since I am part of a fun blog hop that combines some of my favorite things – like Cost Plus World Market and Expressionery – this seemed like the perfect opportunity to put it all together!

It all started with a fun box of goodies from Laura. I took a look at the box and looked in my stash of gifts and started putting together things a new teacher might need Рincluding some very relaxing bath fizzers from World Market that will come in handy after a day of standing on her feet for hours.

The other thing I knew I had to add were some cupcakes made from the Sizzix dies that Laura designed. I thought my friend could use them on a bulletin board to make her students feel extra special on their birthdays – so I used my Sizzix Big Shot and cut about 40 cupcakes – complete with wands and candles, and added them to the gift bag.

Who says wrapping gifts has to be basic? World Market has so many fun extras for wrapping gifts – from baker’s twine to this super fun paper ribbon that is too much fun! I used it on everything! A little jar of Laura Kelly buttons came to life with the paper ribbon and so did the bath fizzies wrapped in tissue paper and tied with paper ribbon. I added a little chalkboard painted cupcake pick with the words Good Luck on it for an extra little touch.

And for the final touch, I used my newest Expressionery stamp (yes, I have a growing collection and I may just be a little addicted to them!) to add that personal touch to the label. Expressionery’s self-inking stamps are just too much fun. You can get them in all sorts of designs, personalized and ready to use on everything from a simple letter to craft projects and more!

Since this is part of a blog hop, you are invited to visit some of my blogger friends and see how they took this challenge and made it their own. And, you can even enter to win a rockin’ prize!

The contest prize is a $250 VISA Gift Card, a custom stamp and a $100 World Market Gift Card (Value $400). The contest will run through the 31st.
